GoHawkeye provided a $400 grant to Camp Big Sky to upgrade their archery program last year. The camp, located in Farmington, Illinois began operation in 2000. Their mission is to provide education, training and skills development to children and adults with disabilities and their families, friends and caregivers to access outdoor activities at no cost. They host any person, age or gender with physical, developmental, cognitive, sensory and age-related disabilities including veterans.

The GoHawkeye grant provided a new bow, arrows, stool , equipment and materials to expand their archery program and offer safe, enjoyable archery.

The sport of archery can be enjoyed by everyone. It can develop camaraderie through indoor and outdoor competition by clubs and leagues. There are many ways target practice can develop skill and confidence and it’s a great introduction to other adaptive sports. To learn more about adaptive archery check out archery360.com.

“I wanted to let you know that we are now successfully able to offer our archery program this season thanks to you!”
