Since it’s inception in 2014, GoHawkeye has helped 23 adaptive athletes and three adaptive organizations with over $78,000 in grant awards.  This has been an incredible team effort with our volunteers and your donations. We couldn’t do it without all of you!

This year we have helped some amazing adaptive athletes from across the country through our equipment grant program. Young athletes like Kyler Quelch (Ice Hockey) age 14 from Vermont and 11-year-old Sam Lopez (Basketball) from Texas. We have awarded grants to these adult athletes for adaptive sports equipment;

Skiers: Channing Cash (CA), Chelsea Faulkner (CA), Stuart Olsen (WA) and Gregory Auer (UT) Basketball Player: John McArdle (VT) Mountain Biker: Ben Hulin(UT).

Anika Parr and Taylor Danielson are 12-year-old philanthropists raising money for the GoHawkeye this summer. Inspired by Hawkeye’s long-distance hiking and fundraising, Ani and her friends created the Youth Development Fund to specifically help kids and have raised money for the past three years by hiking and biking on their summer vacations. They are helping change lives and so can you! Join our team.

We team with our applicants and provide additional resources for their own fundraising since our small size prevents 100% funding in most cases. Adaptive sports equipment is expensive ranging from $900 for an ice hockey sled, $3000 for basketball and racing wheelchairs to $8,000 for sit skis and handcycles. GoHawkeye is totally volunteer driven so virtually all of your donation goes directly to help adaptive athletes.

Today, we launched our 2018 Year-End Campaign. Our goal is to raise $18,000 to help disabled athletes get the adaptive equipment needed to recreate in the outdoors. Will you make a gift of $50, $100 or whatever you can afford to help us meet this goal?

Please consider a tax-deductible year-end donation right NOW. Donate online or save fees by sending a check to GoHawkeye Foundation, PO Box 1132, Telluride, CO 81435. Together we are changing lives!
