Paul has used a manual wheelchair since the age of nine but it wasn’t until his last year in college that he learned about adaptive sports and “fell in love” with handcycling. He is now in his third year of medical school but due to the cost of school and the time involved in study, he lacks the funds to buy his very own off-road handcycle.
GoHawkeye admires both his commitment to help others as well as his own personal fundraising efforts so we decided to help him reach his goal! We are starting this fundraiser with a $1,000 grant and you can help the effort by making a donation. Paul has saved and raised $4,700 from family, friends and a SOAR (Swift Outdoors Accessible Recreation) grant. Combined with our grant he still needs at least $7,000. Every donation no matter how great or small will add up to help reach that goal.
