A great horde of mountain pirates gathered at the Telluride Distilling Company’s Tasting Room and Fortress, Saturday night, in support of the GoHawkeye Foundation’s annual “Scallywags Ball” fundraiser to help adaptive athletes.
The silent auction featured loads of valuable Booty and the live music kept the Scallywags lively and dancing. Opener Loot Booty set the tone for the party and was even joined by the Captain on “What do you do with a drunken Hawkeye?” Then the Telluride Gold Kings took over the ship and drove the crew into a dancing frenzy with their incredible play and singing.
It was loud and fun and somebody even called the cops. It was an outrageous party! These “pirates for good” raised over $6K to help adaptive athletes with financial grants for sports equipment and experiences. This year was the 24th anniversary for pirate parties supported by the Pirates of Telluride!
